A New Addition

September 20, 2017

We have an announcement to make!

Our little family is growing. Peter and I are so excited to finally share our good news – we’re pregnant! It’s been a tough secret to keep, and now it’s getting pretty hard to hide. I am currently at 24 weeks, so a little over 5 months – due in January 2018. We just celebrated our one year anniversary, and now getting to share this news publicly makes this quite a joyful month for us!

I know that seeing my husband as a father is just going to melt my heart and bring us even closer. I get teary-eyed just thinking about it (thanks, hormones). He is going to be the sweetest holding his baby GIRL! <3 Yep, Baby Stormer is a she – and Peter will be vastly outnumbered by all the ladies in the house.

So far in my pregnancy it’s been a relatively smooth ride, and I feel very lucky for that. No morning sickness! The first trimester was a bit exhausting; I would be ready for bed by 8pm and able to sleep straight through until morning no problem. And since then I’ve had some headaches, but those have mostly phased out the further I’ve gotten into my second trimester. I’m feeling healthy and energized (albeit a tad overwhelmed), and now just getting used to this growing bump!

To all the mamas out there: if you have any recommendations or tips, please comment and let me know! I need all the guidance I can get with this new motherhood thing :)

So happy for you both!!! And a girl!! Yay!! That’s awesome to see you’re still feeling good, too!! If you’re a tea drinker look into nora tea – it’s really good for your body and baby (pre and post). Sleep, drink all the water, eat all the greens and lots of healthy fatty proteins. And take all the pictures – it’s so amazing seeing what your body can do – it’s almost unbelievable. Sending you all lots of love!!
