My new mantra for Spring: less is more.

I have found myself coming out from this cold winter with the usual high hopes that the warm weather creates. New ideas, new people, new projects–so many changes always seem to be brought about by Springtime. However, the past few weeks have led to a sense of overwhelm; I found myself juggling so many things that I was struggling to keep my head above water. This peaked with me becoming horribly ill last week, and I was forced to pause my hectic schedule and rest. After my unintentional respite, I came to an important conclusion–I needed to channel my Spring energy into a more focused outlet. So now I am carrying a more minimalistic mantra: less is more, when done to completion. I am promising myself to do less things, but to do them better. And also to always remember to pause and rest when my body tells me to!

I thought this look couldn’t go better with my new mantra. White is new and cleansing. This beautiful, simple shift dress has so many¬†qualities I love; especially with the flowing shape and open back detail. I love pairing dainty dresses with my slip-on sneakers, just to balance the femininity with my tomboyish roots.

I hope that each of you is able to move forward into the new season with focus, resolve, and peace. Although it took me a rather long time to find my groove this year, I think it’s finally here. Spring, you’re looking good!
