April 30, 2015

Change is in the air.

This month has been a big one for me. My 25th birthday was this past Monday, and it was so much fun to celebrate with my friends and boyfriend. I also received some great news which I will be sharing with you all soon :) I felt so much love from everyone, and I can tell 25 is going to be a great year for me!

April has certainly had some ups as well as downs. I have experienced some growing pains and stress, but I am starting to see the fruits of pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. When you feel yourself actually stretching and becoming something you’ve worked hard for, it’s indescribable. I have been filled with a sense of purpose and joy these past few weeks and it has fueled me beyond expression. I can’t wait to make the most of May, and I hope that you all will follow along with me!

This outfit was inspired by the gorgeous Kendra Scott pieces from their new Summer collection, Via Maya. I love the bold and still feminine statement this collection makes. The Havana necklace is simply stunning, and I love how well the delicate Elton bracelet compliments it. I wanted all other components of this look to be loose and flowy to give contrast to the structure of the jewelry. I found this gem of a top at Soca (a personal favorite of mine!). The texture of the top and the scoop back detail had me at first glance.

I hope that you all have the same good fortune that this month has brought me. Try and always remind yourself to keep pushing through the rough patches, for it is through these trials that we grow the most. Goodness knows I’ve had to remind myself of this many times (and forgot this lesson quite a bit too!). If you have a recent personal success story, please comment below and share! I would love to hear what you have worked through and accomplished. Let’s lift each other up as we all move forward!

Love you all,
